Amina Masharipova is a Russian born illustrator from Uzbekistan based in Montreal. She is a recent graduate from Dawson College, Illustration Program, and previously studied in Photography and Graphic Arts at André-Laurendeau. Amina is passionate about working with watercolor, gouache, oil, and digital painting. Through her eagerness to always learn new methods and techniques she has discovered a deep interest in block printing and sculpting. Inspired by James Jean, Timur Lysenko, and Barbara de Ru (Bobbinhood), she creates work focusing on tactile and dimensional fantasy and absurd illustrations.
